WHAT IS AN ONLINE CLASS?

PURE FUN!!!  It is expensive to travel to study art.  With an online class, we are together in your studio with video lessons, live classes, lectures, and exercises to advance your skills.  Paint in your comfy clothes in your studio.  During the a live class, there are question and answer sessions. Ask questions and receive direct feedback. If desired, chat with other class members too!

HD video lessons provide excellent opportunities to learn.  See every stroke and detail in the painting.

HOW LONG ARE OUR CLASSES?

Each class lasts 1 to 2 months and contains 5 to 8 video lessons, 2 to 3 live class demonstrations with question and answer sessions. Our goal is in-depth education with interaction between the students and teacher.   After the class ends, you can access the classroom for a 1 year to repeat your studies.  If you need more time, let us know and we will unlock the classroom door and so you can go back and review the class.  Download the videos and printable material to view offline. Once the class period is over, new question and answer sessions are no longer created. You can view the original videos filmed during class.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Register for a class.  Once the class starts, we provide a new lesson each week until the class is finished.  All videos are in HD.  Use a high speed internet connection to stream without frustration or download the videos.  Work at your own pace and study anytime day or night. Paint along with us or when you have time.  Everyone is busy and the class material is available 24/7. 

Each class will have a few "live video" sessions where you can ask questions and interact with the teacher. This is learning in real time!  Once the class is finished, you have access to all the videos and lectures for 1 year.  If you need more time, or lose the information because of computer problems, let us know and we will let you back into the classroom.

CAN I SELL MY WORK EVEN THOUGH IT IS A CLASSROOM DESIGN?

Yes, we encourage students to recover the cost of the class.  You can sell the paintings created in class, however if you paint one of our designs, you can not make prints or giclees of the image. These designs are under copyright.  Selling your paintings is the goal of many artists.  The world of art is amazing and we want you to succeed. 

CAN I REGISTER FOR A CLASS THAT IS COMPLETED?

Yes, you can register for older classes and seminars.  With the older or completed classes, there are no new questions and answer "live sessions."  There is no teacher interaction or requests to be shown a technique.  However, you can view all the previous question and answer sessions for that class.

CAN I REGISTER FOR A CLASS THAT HAS ALREADY STARTED

Yes, if the class is not full, you can register for classes that are in progress.  If a class is full, we can not register additional students. 

CAN I WATCH THE VIDEOS ON MY LIVING ROOM OR PAINT ROOM TELEVISION?

Yes you can.  There are several ways to connect a computer to a television.That information will be posted on the continuing education page.

CAN I DOWNLOAD THE CLASS?

Yes.  We are dedicated to creating a responsive educational experience.  Downloading videos is helpful if you live in a rural area and streaming content is difficult. Also, downloading allows you to watch the material offline. You can watch each video as many times as you like.  If you lose any information because of computer problems, let us know and we will let you back into the classroom.

CAN I SHARE THE CLASS?

You can watch the videos with friends, however, the video feed is registered to your computer.  If you share a link or your login information with friends, it is a violation of US Title 17 copyright law.  Your account will be suspended and your class fee forfeited.   All videos and downloads are digitally signed and registered to you. Watch the videos on any personal or mobile device that is owned by you. Enjoy the videos with friends and share the love of painting, but do not share your login information or any links.  Friends are not part of the class and cannot paint the lesson designs. They cannot participate in the live video sessions.

CAN I HAVE A REFUND?

We will refund for any reason prior to the start of the class.  Since it is a digital class, we cannot give refunds once the class has begun. 

WHAT MATERIALS DO I NEED FOR THE CLASS?

Each class is a little different and we only teach with Heritage Acrylics.  Many classes have a kit available that contains all the material used in class.  These are available prior to the class at a discount for students.  Kits are for registered students and contain printed patterns, photos, study panels, brushes and paints. Many of our techniques do not work with other brands of acrylics or oils. 

CONTINUING EDUCATION

Registered students get access to our Continuing Education classroom where we will continue painting together throughout the year with streaming video and live events. Let's keep in touch! Watch for new techniques and free lessons. 

LIMITED STUDENTS

We limit the number of students in our classes to maintain a high quality experience. Smaller classes allow for more personal contact with the students which we greatly enjoy. We are about quality and not quantity.  If you can not attend a live event, use the questions form in the classroom to send us a message and we will answer it in the next video. Send as many questions as desired- we will answer them all!  You do not have to attend a live event. View them at any time.

HOW DO I REGISTER?
Purchase a class from the "ONLINE CLASSES" page or from our ONLINE STORE.  Then, you will receive a letter with registration instructions. Allow up to 72 hours for the system to update.  We register each person individually and set up your member area for future benefits. When registration is complete, you will receive an email. Login to see your classes. They are listed on the left side of the screen.  Click the classroom and start learning!
